Managing Your CFX Opus Real-Time PCR System
Thermal cyclers are essential equipment for laboratories running polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for sequencing, cloning, gene expression studies, mutagenesis, and other applications.
The CFX Opus PCR system runs real-time PCR and is available in the following block configurations:
●
96-well for most general PCR applications |
●
96-deepwell for volumes up to 125 µl |
●
384-well for larger throughput needs |
Tip: To access the CFX Opus Real-Time PCR System Instrument Guide, which contains comprehensive information on setting up and using the instrument, see Additional Info.
To enable the BR.io functionality for your CFX Opus PCR system, you must link your instrument to the web application using an Ethernet or wireless connection. For information on linking your CFX Opus PCR system, see Linking Your Instruments.
Important: If you experience issues with linking your instrument to BR.io, or with any of the BR.io functions, you might need to add the BR.io domains to the Allowed list. For more information, see Adding BR.io Domains and contact your system administrator for assistance.
After the link is established, you can use BR.io to do the following:
●
Create, view, and edit your real-time PCR protocols |
●
Create, view, and edit experiment plates and templates |
●
Start a run on the CFX Opus PCR system |
●
View in-progress and completed runs in the Home and Files pages, and view completed run information from the Run Details page |
